Just the beginning…
My name is Emily Tobin, and I’m an aspiring art enthusiast from the central coast of California. I took a couple of ceramics classes in high school, and couldn’t get enough. So right after the summer of 2020, I broke down and bought my own wheel and, soon after, my own kiln (It’s beautiful, I named it Skittles).
I enjoy creating unique and detailed pieces, often revealing my love for the beach and ocean life. I love the idea of being able to share my passion with customized pieces for everyone. It’s so much fun to see someone’s idea evolve into a finished product.
One of my favorite things about ceramics is opening glaze firings because I never know what to expect. Every time I open my kiln, it feels like Christmas morning. It’s always a surprise to see how the glaze combinations end up and it is so fun seeing all the finished pieces!
I just received my bachelor's degree in Business Marketing from Baylor University. I am so happy to be back on the central coast, and I’m ready to pursue Endless Designs full-time! I am selling my ceramic pieces in several stores on the central coast including Monarch Gallery in Cambria, The Natural Toolbox in Pismo, Park Street Gallery in Paso Robles and Making SLO in San Luis Obispo. I will also have booths at craft fairs/maker’s markets throughout the year.
